We are very excited to announce the fall edition of There Will Be Blood with a new twist: waffles. On the bike side, we are offering a longer route option as an ode to the Rock Road 50/50, which will skip this fall and move to a spring date. Circle September 20 on your calendar! We'll be rolling at 9am from the Ec Coffee Bar.
There Will Be Blood is already an instant classic. We've done a number of rides this spring and summer, including the Milan-San Remo edition with over 60 riders. This fall, as the gravel race scene hits high gear, we're bringing it back to celebrate the guts, glory and gravel of the area.
The new, longer 50 mile route puts riders on the first opening section of the traditional There Will Be Blood circuit before pulling off across Brown Bridge and onto Carpenter Creek before heading north on Lake Road. It's a fast, flat drag race on N. River to Island Lake, which will eventually bring riders back to the normal route on Broomhead.
The unofficial finish will be the top of Bunker Hill from east to west. Then, it's a leisurely descent back to the Ec Coffee Bar for some waffles, coffee and wonderful conversation with fellow gravel enthusiasts.
The 30 mile route is the normal Blooding, with a fast opening salvo on Ranch Rudolf Road giving way to a rough and rude awakening on Brown Bridge.
The ride will not be supported, timed or recorded. It's for fun!
