It's a two person race....you just have no idea who your partner is going to be.
For the third year, we're bringing back the Random Relay. We'll base the WorldTour points on your combined timed with another rider. The thing is, you don't get to pick and you won't know who your partner was until the next day! We take the fastest time and pair it with the slowest, the second fastest to the second slowest, and so on and so forth.
It's a night worth 20 points, -1 for the top twenty relay teams, which makes it a great way to cover some ground late in the WorldTour season.
More importantly, we're going to thank Jason Whittaker for all of his contributions to Traverse City's Cycling community before he heads to Tucson, AZ. JW and his wife, Arianne, have been tremendous personalities in TC, and we're going to miss their involvement, support and enthusiasm not just at Einstein Cycles but in our town.
And don't worry, miniSOL is doing the same thing!
