The first Monument of the season is this weekend, and it's a great excuse to drink coffee, watch a brilliant race and go out for a gravel ride.
While the shop is closed on Sundays, we are making a special exception this Sunday for a Milan-San Remo viewing party! Join us for the first Classic of the year. We'll tune in just as the breakaway is traditionally swept up, and the sprinter's teams take the reins in the finale. We'll see the race explode of the Poggio, the final climb of the day, where the strongmen will try to ride away on a twisting and visually stunning descent.
For the first time in several years, the race returns to the traditional finish on the Via Roma, the sight of legendary wins in the 60s and 70s. It's a race that's survived two World Wars, years of turmoil in Italy, and the ravages of time, not unlike the ageless city it finishes in.
Join us at 10:30am for the race, with the expected finish around 11:30 and noon. We'll depart promptly upon the completion of the race for a gravel ride with two options. Keep it low and slow, or join the fast group on the infamous There Will Be Blood route. With Barry-Roubaix just a week away, it's a great tune-up ahead of a big opening weekend!
