Mark your calendars! We're getting ready to get ready for everyone's favorite night ride on November 20.
While weekly rides won't start until December, we're taking a dry run at this one. Join us for a one to one and half hour night ride leaving Einstein Cycles at 6:30pm. No-drop, very casual and enjoying the peace, serenity and wonderful company of riding bike in the night. We'll weave through some pathway, singletrack and venture to places unknown; no one left behind but it'll be a race back to the food!
Last year, Don Marsh opened eyes and mouths with his adventurous and delicious offerings at the post-ride potlucks. This year's goal is to push Don's culinary boundaries and test his capabilities as a chef, a Paleodietician and a man. So, this practice rehearsal will be a good early run for him as well. The potluck theme is Hawaiian, with special points for anyone who can rock a flowery shirt and a lai.
How much light do you need? A good solid trail light is typically at least 550 lumens and can mount on the bar or your helmet. Cody's favorite is the Lezyne Macro Drive XL, which has 750 lumens and swaps quick between bikes with a moveable mount. JW is a Serfas believer, and is a big TSL-2500 fan. That has a battery on a cable that has ridiculously long battery life.
