For the third year, Jolly Pumpkin and Einstein Cycles will play host for the Pumpkin Pedal! It's becoming a mark of spring and an unmissable event in Northern Michigan.
Bike folk from all over will flock to Jolly Pumpkin next Sunday, April 26 to roll 20 or 41 miles on Old Mission Peninsula with over a hundred of their closest friends. The ride is a celebration of spring, of our area, and of bikes, and your enjoyment is enhanced with pints and food back in the pub afterwards.
The route takes riders past vineyards and hop fields, never straying too far from beautiful views of East and West bays. The bays are clear of ice, which is an improvement on some last icebergs drifting on the waters during the ride the past two years. It's a brilliant ride and well worth the effort to get yourself over climbs like Smokey Hollow and Neahtahwanta.
The ride is free, and by signing in between 11am-12pm you'll be entered in to win cool prizes from Ec and Jolly Pumpkin. Everyone is usually back to Jolly in about two hours, so you can always meet pals afterwards for a brew, no matter how far they are riding.
